RE: ND6 NOT Backwards compatable!! ~Hank Ekjumiskiader 22.Jul.03 11:22 AM a Web browser Notes Client 6.0.2 CF1All Platforms
Well I have a number of valid reason why this is unworkable which am I not about to get into a discussion about now.
What about organisation with multiple server infrastructure and thousands of notes users? Does db maintenance remain in r5 until all users have migrated to nd6?
I can understand if I was to implement r6 features in an r5 database, but to simply recompile and save a form and the form stop working for r5 clients is not an ideal delivery from Lotus is it?
Afterall you have the ability to rename nsf files to keep the ODS to 41, why not have a similar concept which prevents an r5 db being compiled as an r6 type database?
